| Congratulations to Salford.
Fully deserved victory and if they can go again next week, who knows what will happen.
Saints, just like Wigan, will start as firm favourites but, they will be very, very, wary about what is likely to hit them.
Win or lose, Watson should definitely receive "coach of the season" and should they actually lift the SL trophy next week, the game will have been shake up big time by one of the sports less fashionable clubs.

| Quote TheButcher="TheButcher"While we've had an amazing season, as a Salford fan, nothing is taken for granted.
We played well tonight.
The best team in the comp V the overachievers for the GF. If we come with the same spirit and mentality it's gonna be a great game.
Ironically, it's the Saints away game which we lost by a whisker after putting thirty-odd points on them that turned our season around and gave the players the belief. Kind of fitting that it should bring them together for the last tango.'"
Also apt that Saints are now the only team in the League we have not beaten this season.

| Quote JEAN CAPDOUZE="JEAN CAPDOUZE"This is truly a dark day for European rugby league when a club that has less than 3,000 fans, based in an obscure location outside Manchester, can defeat a renowned, popular powerhouse like Wigan.
I have no doubt that the absence of Wigan's indefatigable French international prop Romain Navarette affected the result. The absence of experienced centre Daniel Sarginson might also have been relevant.
On the other hand without the NRL experienced Antipodean imports Jackson Hastings, Tuimoala Lolohea, Krisnan Inu and Kenneth Sio, the Salford Red Devils would have been languishing in last place in Super League, and would have been ripe for relegation.'"
Give your drivel a rest ffs

| I suppose Jean will think it is an even darker day if Featherstone beat Toronto.

| Well done to Salford. Will be rooting for them next week but unfortunately just can't see them causing 1 more upset.
Outstanding job this year by everybody associated with the club.

| Huge well done to Salford, I think everyone in the world of rugby league will be a Salford fan next week apart from St Helens fans and that strange bloke on here, Joan or whatever he’s called.

Ok Mr Click Bait.
How do you think that those clubs at the top of the league gained their "superior" followings.
Do you think that it may have been by having some on field success or is it because they are just great clubs that play a superior brand of RL
There were almost as many Salford fans at last nights game as fans of the mighty Wigan ??
How on earth do you explain that

That's impossible. Salford has 3,000 fans tops, and only when the team is winning. There were nearly 10,000 fans at the ground. This would mean that Wigan had more than twice as many fans as Salford present.

| Great game last night, and Salford fully deserve to be where they are. Much as I'd enjoy seeing Saints end up looking like the biggest bottlers of all time though, I admit I want them to win next week. I'm a bitter Wire and don't want some team coming out of nowhere and winning the Grand Final before us. I supported Leeds V Cas for the same reason. At least I'm honest.
