| Agreed with Phil Clarke for a change, about the supposed Ferres shoulder charge on Bowen I think. Apart from the fact Ferres was comitted then seemed to do everything he could to get out of the kickers way and dove to the floor, catching Bowens legs in the process. Watching in super slow-mo makes it look far worse than it acually is. Wigan a bit lucky to be as close as they are imo.
Giants looking good tonight so far compared to their last game, Murphy at the back has been very impressive and Brough has pulled the strings in attack. Wigan have got it in them to pull this around but they're going to have to play well, or Giants drop off.

| Huddersfield gifted all the momentum they bult up at the start of 2nf half back to Wigan there. Robinson with a knock on on Wigans line and then another mistake minutes later, then an offside on Huds own line. Need to cut all those out becuase on the whole they've been the better side so far.
Wigan have looked far more disciplined so far this week.

| Hull have been grinding away and finally get a reward with a Lineham try. Sneyd touch line conversion.
6-7, 15ish to play.

| Great run that by Bateman to set up the try. If I was a Hudds fan I'd be pulling my hair out, their discipline has been their undoing so far .
Wigan on the other hand have kept in the game by not giving away silly penalties, doing nothing stupid and keeping things simple. 7 minutes left 2 points in it.
No Wigan in again, they haven't been at their best tonight but they've really dug in and look like winning. They won't be that bothered considering the start to the game though.
Hudds completely lost it after a decent 10 minutes or so at the start of the 2nd half, they looked like they were tryiing to find ways to lose it time after time.
Bateman was Wigans best player and Murphy Hudds.

There's plenty to be optimistic about, 7 points conceded in 2 games against that quality of opposition is excellent. Hopefully the attack will come as the halves get more used to each other. It didn't sound like our attack was poor, we just seemed a little impatient at times on our attacking sets when we should have just been trying to build pressure. We had a good chance to draw a few minutes from time too but Sneyd scuffed his drop goal attempt from 20 yards.

Lots of things to be positive about for us Hull fans, our defence has gone up a gear just need the attack to follow suit now, though we were missing Sa & Talanoa from our backline and then had Shaul taken off injured, so it was a makeshift backline by the 2nd half. Also we missed Ellis tonight who is the heartbeat of our team.
all in all i'm a lot more confident of a top8 finish from what i've seen so far.

I was confident of a top 8 finish before the season started tbh.
My target would be to make the 8 and be close enough to the top 4 for the last 7 games to not be meaningless. Im not too concerned about finishing position, but it's kind of pointless to just scrape into the 8 and be 8+ points away from the top 4. I want to be close enough to be able to strike if we hit a hot streak at the end of the season. We probably aren't good enough to make the 4, but if we keep the interest up for the full 30 games I will be happy.

| It seems defence is optional at Hull KR this season.
Three 40+ games in a row if you include the friendly v Warrington.
