I can't understand all the gleeful pointing at Wakefield and the board for bad management.

The statement clearly says that they have had a large bill that has been paid per the agreement. They haven't been wound up.

The taxes due will be from previous (pre recession) times so it is something all businesses will be suffering with. In a recession like this if you come through the other side without taking massive loans on and without going under you will be in a strong position.

There are plenty of multimillion pound businesses that have not survived in the last year. Mostly just down to cash flow rather than bad management.

Wakefield have not had great crowds this season and on last and this years form, you can understand why the board would have planned for bigger crowds. They have been let down a bit there - but many fans have cash flow problems too so that's just life.

Fans are even now complaining because we are not breaking the bank to keep Brough but then complain that the club is badly managed when taxes are needing to be paid.

For me it needs support from the Wakefield fans and understanding from the rest but each will make that call for themselves I guess.

Why the rfl make no secret of when they give clubs assistance and advice (why should they) they've done so with more than london over the years ie donny. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Its gonna be either wakefield or cas that go when the next round of franchises are due.

I was giving my opinion thats all. I think its fair to say that both cas and wakey are staring down the barrell of a gun and if it was down to me, i would let cas go.

I have been aware of many companies agreeing a payment schedule and reviewing it without the need to go to the High Court.

you see you need to understand this is a very small matter involving cash flow and nothing to do with any companies survival, which relies on its balance sheet, id try and explain it but id struggle to dumb it down, you see clubs with a benefactor are in far greater risk short term than clubs with none, as a benefactor pays income in to the yearly profit and loss but buys no assets, so he goes you have nothing to sell.

Its a shame rugby league wasnt invented in Wakefield because then the RFL would just bend the rules to make sure Wakefield stayed in the top division
