I do believe Jon Molloy is of contract at the end of the season though.

My understanding is he did go AWOL soon after we signed him, but Leigh did try to contact him for pre-season etc, but due to personal issues he needed time and space.
He returned to Leigh in March, and subsequently went initially back to Rochdale on loan, and is now out on loan at Whitehaven. |

Leigh are currently having to play with one hooker for 80 mins, due to a Penky’s injury needing an op and although Beswick is doing a great job, he wont sustain that all season especially when we get into the 8’s. Our only other option is a youngster Foster who’s not quite physically ready for the step up.
So if 50k plus Higham’s wages gets us into SL then it’s great business IMO. |

Add to that we have no experienced cover for Bob Beswick at hooker & that Higham wants to come to his home Town Club & I for one think it's fantastic business. |
