If indeed you are a Leeds fan & not just some armchair RL supporter then you will remember how well Leigh were supported both at home & away from home &.you will try to erase the fact that Leigh ran Leeds to within one bad pass decision at the LSV. You might also ignore the fact that Leigh beat Wigan *scoring 50* & also beat Saints, Warrington & Hull F.C, those being regular top 5 SL Clubs !!! You might also try to rewrite history & claim "a sea of empty red seats" , how very Trump-esque of you. In fact as befits your agenda, you are hiding the real facts that Leigh averaged more than 6,500 at home & had 9,000 + against Saints, or that Leigh were easily the 8th best supported club in Super League & maybe one of the top 5 best supported away clubs.

It’s better to have a team from the heartlands in who spend full cap and have fantastic facilities, than a few in Yorkshire who really shouldn’t be in SL on facilities previously promised and a Lancashire club in financial mess that may not survive or must slash its spend

There has been and will continue to be lots of bitterness flying around about this process. I THINK there are three clubs in genuine contention for the slot and they are Leigh, Bradford and Toulouse. Nothing against the others in any way but I suspect they are the three likely candidates. Clearly Bradford would attract the greatest angst, whereas personally speaking either Toulouse or Leigh would leave me a bit "meh". You have to hope that after they are chosen we the fans get to see the workings out and who scored what. Not that I'm holding my breath.

It would be of more interest to see the full criteria and the weighting given to the different aspects of said criteria and of course, who set the rules and whether, despite the "independent panel", those people had any vested interest.
For starters, getting a tenant at Odsal would save the RFL some rent.
I suggested many pages back that the criteria and not the independent panel of "judges" would be the deciding factor and this looks to be how we are "progressing".
