There are plenty of replacements, it what’s called a squad. Injured players are replaced by those who are not, loaned out players are players who are unlikely to feature in the first team so may as well be loaned out to, yes, save a little money and give them the chance of some game time.

All players unavailable have apparent replacements.

I am sure wakey coud keep shipping out 1st team squad members and finding 'replacements' from within. How can fans say you have a shortage of wingers when John Kear is a ready made 'replacement'

If you want to see this as an act of altruism (giving players a chance) or astute squad management as the play offs approach.. go ahead. i disagree.

Interesting how Wakey have gone since this thread dropped down the boards.

Our academy team have won their league with a game to spare (not bad for a team roundly criticised for not producing their own).

The marketing team pulled out all the stops and did a tremendous job getting just short of 8,000 in for the visit of Celtic Crusaders.

The first team squad (despite your fantasy about poor squad management) have won 4 from their last 5 to cement a play-off place with 2 games to spare. Luke George has come back in on the wing and scored 4 tries in his last 2 and Dale Morton stepped up from the academy and got over for one last night.

Well done John Kear and the Wakefield club I say!

Back to RL. An agreement with the tax authorities in Sept may point to problems making appropriate payments during the summer of 09. This is usually the time when income streams are at their highest! Unless there is a sizable uptake in season ticket revenues post Sept is a time of the year when cashflows get worse, not better. That is why some SL teams wanted early Sky payments thsi time ast year.

As a supporter of the club for many years,it just makes me sick that the club seems to go from one financial crisis to another.
This is not the first time the current administration have got the club in a financial hole!!!
