We've only ever spent 2 seasons in Super League, and it will hardly be a disaster when we don't get voted in. But as long as Derek Beaumont is involved I'm pretty confident that we will be back in it for a 3rd time by gaining promotion on the playing field. I stated right from the outset that the 12th club should be Featherstone or London as they were the 2 clubs that lost out because of Toronto's promotion, and I haven't changed my opinion. But those 2 clubs like ours are not grabbing the attention of the media with their applications. Toulouse are winning this by a country mile, with Bradford in 2nd place due to their excellent SL history. That's my take on it all anyway (for what it's worth) Ghosty.

If indeed you are a Leeds fan & not just some armchair RL supporter then you will remember how well Leigh were supported both at home & away from home &.you will try to erase the fact that Leigh ran Leeds to within one bad pass decision at the LSV. You might also ignore the fact that Leigh beat Wigan *scoring 50* & also beat Saints, Warrington & Hull F.C, those being regular top 5 SL Clubs !!! You might also try to rewrite history & claim "a sea of empty red seats" , how very Trump-esque of you. In fact as befits your agenda, you are hiding the real facts that Leigh averaged more than 6,500 at home & had 9,000 + against Saints, or that Leigh were easily the 8th best supported club in Super League & maybe one of the top 5 best supported away clubs.

It would be of more interest to see the full criteria and the weighting given to the different aspects of said criteria and of course, who set the rules and whether, despite the "independent panel", those people had any vested interest.
For starters, getting a tenant at Odsal would save the RFL some rent.
I suggested many pages back that the criteria and not the independent panel of "judges" would be the deciding factor and this looks to be how we are "progressing".

Listen come on let’s be honest and seriously look at the facts and what’s happening here, and please please please this only my opinion FACT Leigh have assembled a team to play in superleague they have also got a fantastic stadium and a decent support base so putting them in wouldnt and shouldn’t be a issue, FACT bradford have got a team capable of winning hopefully more games than they will lose in the championship, they are currently using dewsburys facilities at there wonderful home,, yes no doubt about it they have a fan base most current superleague clubs are very envious of, but bradford are far far far away from being the force they once was, and on those facts I believe LEIGH are ready made to return to superleague
