the worship of Leon Pryce was beyond belief, I could understand hyping up his return to Saints before the match, but there were loads of better players than him on the pitch last night, every slight touch he made was deemed to be "a wow of a pass" by Stevo.

I was listening to the game on radio during last night's game, so I filtered most of the commentary out. Thankfully.

The 'banter' with Brian Carney is making my teeth itch.

You can hear Carney responding through gritted teeth; I think he spends lengthy periods feeling embarassed by his fellow commentators.

Absolutely he does, I feel embarrassed for them too and with good reason. I can understand people liking the energy and enthusiasm they bring to the games, but the pair of them know nothing about the game any more and interrupt each other with pointless statements. The coverage is a real mess at the minute and would benefit from a more professional approach.

Do you not watch much NRL?? Think your getting rabs and gus mixed up mate. As for been hyper critical never heard it myself, will say when a ref has made a mistake but gone go on and on about it for 10 minutes!!

I've watched virtually every NRL game on Premier Sports for the past two seasons, but I have to admit that I don't watch it with the same attention that I do domestic games. I may well be getting the names mixed up, but there's certainly one who plays the 'grumpy old man' and often pits himself against his fellow commentators in extended bouts of comedy banter; it gets a bit wearing, just as Eddie and Stevo's inane ramblings do.

Has Jamie Peacock got an MBE? Only I don't think Eddie mentioned it.

The key difference between our coverage and the Aussie coverage, is that when a ref calls a player/captain over to talk - they shut the hell up and listen. Eddie and Stevo ramble on about the slightly off-green colour of the grass or the cous-cous they ate when SL kicked off in Paris, then when the player runs back in to the line they scream "well I wonder what that was all about .. he's obviously just had a word with him about something" .....

Stevo must be the worst commentator of RL ever, he's so out of touch it beggars belief.
Never played Super League and boy does it show. He's so so out of touch with the modern game,
just retire him and send him back to Aussie where he's obviously happy.
