| Quote: chico's nose "And if Long was to use it as an excuse then it would be a legitimate one. He was treated for concussion after the game, ask any doctor and they will tell you that a concusion can be serious and can affect the thought process, hence why player have to prove they are fully recovered from a concusion before they are allowed to take the field again.
Considering Long had almost been decapitated moments earlier, a challege that went unpunished by Child and more than likely caused the concusion, why is it so difficult for you to understand that this could have affected Long's mental state at that time?'"
Do Hull FC have a medical team? If so what were they doing allowing their star player to stay on the pitch if he was concussed?

| hull and agar will be punished enough anyway when the refs close ranks on hull fc for daring to have the audacity to critisize one of their own. although agar was correct in what he said, his hot headed outburst will cost us points in future games when childs colleagues give us fewer 50/50 calls(if any).
personally i would consider it a breach of my rights of freedom of speech.

Get real daft lad.
And as for your right to freedom of speech, you have the right, you also have to accept any consequences that exercising that right may bring.

So if a colleague at work makes mistakes/wrong decisions you believe people in positions of responsibility can start ranting that they are a disgrace etc to the full workforce because every-one has a right to freedom of speech ?
This is not about freedom of speech, this is about respect and dignity and following procedures, Agar never afforded Childs any respect and dignity, and he will now face the consequences.
What has amused me about all this is how most of the FC fans enjoyed posting dummies ect on here when Morgan had a hissy fit, yet it appears Agar was in the right

| After all the comments regarding his performance at the KC, I'll bet he has a guilty conscience and the Wigan game tomorrow will have the fewest stoppages in the history of rugby league. (if only).

| Quote: PHIPPS "A legal rugby league tackle is technically an assault inside the ground too. However a defence to it is that it took place during a lawful sporting activity according to the rules.
So TECHNICALLY Sean Long running in leading with the elbow could be argued that it's NOT a 'legal' rugby league tackle and if whoever the other person was fancied making a name for himself he could try and get him arrested for assault.
Of course it won't happen.
Thats why I was interested in the comment that was posted by someone on the last page saying it MIGHT have happened because Sean Long might have been concussed from another illegal tackle earlier on. Long would probably use that as a defence if he did get arrested.
Ahhh the law.
Don't you just love it.'"

If only the match officials had allowed them to enter the field of play to assess the situation.

"get real" in what sense.in my experience an attack on an individual of any group or faction usually results in the said group or faction closing ranks, regardless of any official punishment given out
as for freedom of speech, to my knowledge as long as it isnt unduly offensive to anyone i fail to see why you should be punished.
as for the daft lad comment, i suggest you substitute the cod in your name to the old fashioned short version of richard

| Either way, most ppl will agree Agar should have kept quiet, followed the procedure and made his complaint privately, instead of shooting his mouth off.
All he has accomplished is bringing bad publicity to Hull FC, and leaving them wide open for fines etc. Doesnt matter if everybody in rugby league thinks Childs had a poor game, what Agar has done will just make the other refs want to stand together to show they cant be bullied into things just because someone rants in a TV interview.

is agar childs superior?
actually i believe in critisising my superiors if they make a mistake(i dont get promoted much, but at least im true to myself and not 2 faced),to belittle those beneath you is bullying.i just think you should have the bottle/nerve to say what needs to be said.nothing in this world would ever change if we all chose to be cowardly shrinking violets.
agars opinion was correct, his handling of it was not and will see us punished.
do any of you consider agars dignity when he is anhilated regulary on these boards.
i think not
