Think you might agree in that changing your 'home' colours, badge etc won't help in the aim of building an identity for yourselves; it's one thing changing kit designs etc, but your club colours are what defines a club, something confirmed when you look on this website and see Claret & Gold, Black & Whites, Scarlet Turkey & CherryPinchedOffLeyth & White.

| a RL fan is someone who likes the game of RL, wants it to do well, not just liking your club
indeed just liking your club and arguing against attempts to grow the game doesnt make you much of a fan in my eyes.
i want ALL the game to do well. thats what makes me a RL fan

Making things up again?
I am not old, bitter or against expansion.
However, i would rather be a member of that "club" than some one who would turn his back on the game and go watch AFL. Turncoat.

| to me being a RL fan means being happy if salford, wakey, cas, saints, bradford etc get new grounds.
it means you are happy when crusaders get a 2nd chance at wrexham
it means more than worrying about just your own club
and puttting your club before the good of the game - certainly not.

| Dally - you're just a flaky little Antipodean who's only interest in life is to come on here and troll. You have NO interest in the game whatsoever. Absolutely none. As for putting Club before the game - you obviously aren't a fan of any club and do not understand what it means to be a "diehard" fan. Most on here ARE concerned about the game as a whole. Concerned at the cock-ups by the RFL and concerned at the apparent lack of any cohesive plans for the future expansion of the game. If you think Wrexham and what happened in Wales is the right way to go then you're sadly deluded. Half-assed expansionism is what most people object to but you're a balck and white kinda guy aren't you? I just don't think you have the intellect to distinguish between a well thought out expansion plan and one that's half baked. You'd be happy to see five failures for one success. You can't see how much that would damage the game in the time it took.
Stick to aerial ping pong mate - it's about your level.

Whilst I agree that a clubs colours are important at developing an identity, I think they've done the right thing in this case. IIRC the away kit was very similar to the Wales Union kit ie red and white whilst the home kit was just a bog standard kit you could see anywhere. I think tying themselves more to the Welsh with a traditionally Welsh home kit is a good move.
I agree with you on your other post about the possible name change to Wrexham Crusaders. I think that, whilst obviously annoying for original "Celtic" supporters it is better to develop the identity around a town rather than a large area. That might work in the NRL but I dont think that works in Britain. It's part of the reason London Broncos never took on as well as it could have done, because London is too big an area to easily develop an identity while Harlequins or in this case Wrexham is much easier to develop and much easier to market.

its just so easy blaming all your (clubs) problems on someone else.
many RL clubs have prospered in england. is their success because of the RFL?
or is it only when clubs fail its the RFLs fault and any successes are the clubs.
like i said before you guys are anti expansion.
your views towards expansion are biased by your own clubs failure

| It's true though. If you're good enough you'll end up in SL.
Widnes will be there in 2012, they are the current Championship benchmark and I think most of their fans would agree, they're in a very very strong position since their restructuring over the past few years.
