I take no delight in seeing ANY rugby league club folding whether they be old or new. Local rivals or not. Banter against losing games, trophies yes but going out of business? FFS!!!
I remember Bradford completely filling our North Stand in the late 90’s/early 00’s. What I would do to see that again!
I thought we were all proud to be part of a “RL Family” jeez....!!

Wow, what a thread this is.
Leigh, Widnes and London (and Fev, Bradford and the rest) all deserve a place in this competition (whether SL or below) because they've earned a place. Fax played Salford today, we got stuffed, no arguments, but we'd earned the right to play them on the pitch. FWIW, the south stand at the Shay was rockin' at the start of the game with both Salford and Fax fans trying to out-sing each other. For those that say we don't want away fans, this was an example of exactly why we do want them - some decent atmosphere and friendly rivalry on the terraces.

He's just lucky that while our club had a rich fool, his has a richer fool. Still, I think, pound for pound, Beaumont has had a lot more for his money than Hughes has, or ever will have. And Leigh will have more watching them on the local park than London will, whatever league either end up in. |

Salford, despite their low home gates, always have a decent away following. Around 800 of them at Halifax today.... |

The rugby league family is an absolute myth. Everybody loves the idea of it but the snarls, bitterness and envy always come to the forefront. |

Two expansion clubs, not to mention Newcastle, Crusaders and Skolars - are you implying I shouldn't enjoy that? They are the future of the game after all, aren't they? And their crowds are just a few hundred short of London, so I am really not sure of the difference TBH.
As for being a fake Canadian, I am a dual citizen and have been a member of this forum for 16 years, with that avatar for almost as long as many users could testify. A decade before RL was even restarted in Canada and very likely before you were born. |
