You have never seen David Mead obviously. He was brilliant at the Gold Coast Titans, the Brisbane Broncos and for PNG. He is only 29 -- hardly past it -- and I am sure he will run rings around woeful Wakefield's defence next season, both at the rubbish tip and at Stade Gilbert Brutus.

I’ve seen him play 4 games in 2017, enough to form an opinion, he will go well in Super League and at 23 has his best years ahead oh him.

Hampshire to Wakefield - 1 year deal.

Bit underwhelmed by this if I'm honest. Not by the player but by the length of the deal. Looks a bit non commital to me. No idea which party just expected two years and a real chance for him to find his feet.

It's still good but just seems a bit at odds with recent policy.
