But from the point of view of clubs which have served their time, done the right thing by the sport and the people in it and who offer the best for the game's wider future Leigh don't cut it.

I honestly don't know why you find this unsatisfactory - it's hardly a unique perspective within the sport where the prospect of Leigh returning to Super League and Derek Beaumont returning to boardrooms is not particularly welcome.

We've only ever spent 2 seasons in Super League, and it will hardly be a disaster when we don't get voted in. But as long as Derek Beaumont is involved I'm pretty confident that we will be back in it for a 3rd time by gaining promotion on the playing field. I stated right from the outset that the 12th club should be Featherstone or London as they were the 2 clubs that lost out because of Toronto's promotion, and I haven't changed my opinion. But those 2 clubs like ours are not grabbing the attention of the media with their applications. Toulouse are winning this by a country mile, with Bradford in 2nd place due to their excellent SL history. That's my take on it all anyway (for what it's worth) Ghosty.
