Without calling up Mossop, that looks the about the best option.
McGuire and Wilkin, despite what they do for their respective clubs, have always looked a pair of liabilities at international level. Each forcing the pass far too often and missing tackles international players shouldn't be missing.

Yep, I wouldn't go as far as describing them as liabilities and I wouldn't exclude them merely on past England performances, but Wilkin hasn't seemed to offer much in the last two games and I think Carvell deserves a shot and I don't think you can play against the Aussies with only 3 props. And McGuire hasn't set the world alight this season.
Widdop has looked dangerous when he gets his hands on the ball and out of the 2 Chase looked the weaker than Sinfield in the 2 games to me, so I'd drop Chase to the bench and start with Sinfield & Widdop and hope Chase can add a bit of zip and enthusiasm coming off the bench in the same kind of role Burrow has done for Leeds this season.
The only other question mark would be JJB, but in both games he's added a bit of pace and go-forward to the second row so I'd keep him.

of all those in the squad who have played scrum half this year he is the best, and he has played with Sinfield all season so no need to worry if they gel or not, it would only be for the first 25/30 mins anyway

I've not really been impressed with Heighington thus far, nor Wilkin. I think Wilkin is counter-productive at times. Heighington is supposed to be a smash-mouth bull but he's made little impact. I'd maybe be tempted to stick with him though ahead of Carvell or Bailey.
I wouldn't really like to upset the 6, 7 partnership we've got going, but I'd like to see Widdop get the chance and with Sinfield at 13, there'd be less pressure on Chase to play his natural game IMO.

| England unchanged from team vs. Wales. Widdop still on bench and Wilkin keeps his place. 3 props.
Inglis for Tonga only change for Australia.

| Sinfield should be nowhere near the number 6 shirt.

Apart from set-up three tries you mean?

| Are we naming a 17? Why not a 19, give the chance of a surprise selection on game day

| how would I line up against the Aussies? With sturdy spear and shield in hand and an army of my Viking brothers at my back. That or the X Men.
