| Quote Yorkshiretillidie="Yorkshiretillidie"Have to agree, How the blooming heck is Briscoe in there before Fox?? I think Fox just needs to realise Smith doesn't like him and he will only get a game when a new coach comes in...
Before anyone says "But Briscoe's scoring record at the moment is immense" I agree however does he have the pace that Fox does?
I don't think so....'"
it could be something to do with foxs' form at the end of the season being poor, briscoe is one for the future, smith has noticed that, everyone wanted fresh younger players in the squad, briscoe has played more games than tomkins yet everyone screamed to have him in the squad, whilst not disagreeing he shouldn't be, my only concern with tomkins is his attitude when things don't go his way on the pitch, he can show petulance on the pitch

Woah Woah Woah, i'm not too sure about that, personally think catching a high ball is confidence thing, however, honestly do you really thing Briscoe is the best person for that postion at the moment?
if you're been honest with yourself you'd say no, and Fox deserves it imho.
But that is my opinion and you are entitled to yours too.
At the end of the day we all want England to win whoever is playing.

| Tom Briscoe has done fine in the last 2 England games, but that was only against Wales and France. In my opinion, Fox deserves a place in the team because of how well he's played all year. A few poorer performances at the back end of the season haven't done him any favours, but he's played 28 games this year and been excellent in the vast majority of them.
The only reason Fox missed out on the World Cup is because Calderwood had a couple of good games in the 2008 playoffs. This year, Fox had a couple of poor games in the playoffs and has missed out on the 4 Nations. Harsh, in my opinion.

no reason why he wont against the kangaroos, and as an earlier poster commented, its good to see youth getting a go, Tom is an exciting young prospect and its great to see him getting the chance to play against a team like Australia.

again, fox only played against wales and france, and failed to impress against wales so what's the difference between briscoe and fox, both played against the same nations, yet the france team fox played agianst was much weaker than the one at the keepmoat
regardless who got picked, they are going to be up against it for 80minutes
