yep. we can't win because we always moan about the same 3 or 4 sides getting to OT, then when a smaller team upsets the applecart and does something amazing we moan about the lack of speccies. you just know this is going to happen next week if sales for the final are slower then normal

| i went to the salford v leeds game as a neutral on world club challenge day, and leeds won at a canter. if you asked me then which team had more chance of reaching the GF i wouldn't have gone for salford. amazing feat to get there, just a bit of a shame that team is breaking uo a bit at the end of the season

| Had a feeling that might happen tonight. Salford should have won 2 weeks ago but didn't take their opportunities. Wigan look tired and devoid of ideas. Losing Tommy didn't help but that isn't what lost the game.
Salford are hot. Their running lines and support are superb and their defence was outstanding tonight. But they'll need to be even better and hope Saints are off form next week to lift the trophy.
Wigan did well to get this far after a shocking start to the season and plenty of turmoil in the squad, losing a few players mid season. We wouldn't have beaten Saints in the GF, so let's hope Salford can do it.

You just know that certain posters will already be Googling historic Grand Final attendances so they can compare and contrast next Sunday morning.
The keen ones among them will already have knocked up a PowerPoint tonight so they can talk themselves through it during the Grand Final build up.

| While we've had an amazing season, as a Salford fan, nothing is taken for granted.
We played well tonight.
The best team in the comp V the overachievers for the GF. If we come with the same spirit and mentality it's gonna be a great game.
Ironically, it's the Saints away game which we lost by a whisker after putting thirty-odd points on them that turned our season around and gave the players the belief. Kind of fitting that it should bring them together for the last tango.

| Wow...what a performance from Salford. I wasn't amazed that they won, but I was in how easy it looked. Good luck in the final, who knows what might happen ?

That is a whisker above the attendance that Toronto attracts every week.

| This is truly a dark day for European rugby league when a club that has less than 3,000 fans, based in an obscure location outside Manchester, can defeat a renowned, popular powerhouse like Wigan.
I have no doubt that the absence of Wigan's indefatigable French international prop Romain Navarette affected the result. The absence of experienced centre Daniel Sarginson might also have been relevant.
On the other hand without the NRL experienced Antipodean imports Jackson Hastings, Tuimoala Lolohea, Krisnan Inu and Kenneth Sio, the Salford Red Devils would have been languishing in last place in Super League, and would have been ripe for relegation.

It's a great day for European Rugby League!!!
Seeing the underdog go so well in sport is amazing to see. Everyone remembers an underdog story and it will probably now get more coverage world wide.
You could of put Navarette and Sarginson on the field and Wigan would of had no chance. Salford are well drilled, well coached and stick to the game plan every week.
I'm sure they will give Saints more of s game next week than what Wigan did last week.
Let's go Salford!!!
