Three incidents spring to mind though
Firstly, Hayne runs 40 meters across the field across the defensive line and then throws the ball directly into touch... if an English player had done that the commentators would have crucified him but they call Hayne ‘unplayable’
Second, Hayne gets beat in the air from a bomb and the Bulldogs score – no fault of Haynes of course
And the best... Hayne knocks on from a bomb and the Bulldogs score on the next tackle. Any fault of Hayne’s? Of course not, he is a hero for nearly stopping the grounding
OK... I admit, I would love Hayne to be English and he would walk into the England team but the levels of adulation in this game were unbelievable'"

Brian Noble is sitting down with Haynes people negotiating a deal as we speak.
My same source told me it will be a cash plus player swap with Gareth Thomas heading to Parra. The stumbling block is how much cash the Eels will want to pay the Crusaders. Early reports suggest $1million but I think thats a bit much. |
