Players being off loaded during the season and not replaced will certainly help support the finances. Players the club wanted to stay are off. apparently this is a good sign.
If gates are substantially down when things are going well on the field then any deterioration in performance in 2010 could have dire repurcussions. Maybe it will all be sunny.
Also investing in a stadium for a team whose gates fall when they do well is questionable. maybe investors find falling gates attractive

i think its quite clear that the amount of backing mars bar as generated is a clear indication of how credible this entire thread is .

Who do you class as the players we wanted to keep but are leaving?
Funding for the stadium is sorted sweet cheeks!
Our team for next season will have better quality players than this season that is for sure

| Oh dear. Some of the children re rattled. Mustering their best infant school insults and having no points of substance
Some wakey fans know that Bibb/Pitts/Wintestein/Rooney/(Petersen?) out and no one in when there are also a few injuries is being done because finances are dire. The children would rather trade in fictions than face an uncomfortable fact.
Also some more mature fans accept that the share issue has been a failure.

Sadly you still have the 'compulsion' to write about me. Do try and stick to the topic....the finances of wakey. Or open a seperate thread?

Don’t get into these personal insults, don’t see the need tbf. But you have avoided some post made I wonder why.!?
Bibb and Rooney are no loss what so ever.
Petersen has not exactly been brilliant since he has got here but seems to be picking up but overall again would not be much of a loss
Would like us to keep Winto but if it means we will develop a younger player from within our ranks then sound. He has not exactly had the game time and is now out for the season
We have players signed up so it puts the money issue to bed

Because you do not know what you are 'talking about'.
I cannot see the posts were you challenge wakey fans for resorting to insults - hopeyou are not a hypocrite
Clubs do not release several players at the business end of the season unless there is a problem.
Signing players for next year does not show that you are good or bad financially. there is a bit more to it.

| Come on fella's don't baffle her with facts!
As far as I'm aware the only player who has definitely left is Pitts. A promising young player and a blow to lose, but what can you do when the club states they want to keep him and offer him a new improved contract, but he decides he wants to join Leeds?
Winterstein is injured until the end of the season and some reports have guessed he may have played his last game for the club.
Bibb and Rooney were both well down the pecking order and have gone out on loan to play first team rugby.
Sculthorpe has joined Huddersfield on loan while Korkidas has come the other way.
Petersen is still playing in the first team.
Those are the facts as far as I'm aware and in no way whatsoever points to any financial problems. Our recent on the field form would suggest that we aren't missing any of the players who have gone out on loan..

No hypocrite, just don't see the need to challenge them and make it worse.
Grtting rid of players we don't need makes great sense but of course you can't see that.
We don't need Rooney, Biib or Pitts. Let Pitts go now for money or he would leave for free come end of season. Now I know what every club would chose been in that situation

| Not wanting to pour petrol on the flames BUT Marsden Giant has been right about one thing which was Liam Fulton would have more of an impact than Winterstein did..
I thought it would be better to mention it on here rather than either of our boards for obvious reasons.

Nowt to do with me but it kept MG and the Wakey fans going for about 12 pages. This discussion had become a bit boring, just trying to give them something else to get their teeth into

When several players exit and they are not replaced. Most likely reason...finances.

It is hypocritical.
With several players out you have money available. A club who want to do well in the play offs would look to strengthen - unless they think themselves perfect . wakey are not taking such an opportunity.
All these 'low grade' players you will not miss. Who signed them in the first place? Who's been paying their wages all season?

Exactly. Obvious isn't it.
Yet if you go through the Winterstein threads you will see many wakey fans wetting themselves over Winterstein and others bagging Fulton or claiming parity. They were clueless. few would have the guts to admit it.

No it's not but if I started with the insults it would be.
Pitts came through academy and made a good impression last season he is the only one out of the 3 that I would have liked to have kept. Like anyone he wanted to play at the club he supported as a kid.
Bibb is lazy offers nothing what so ever so get rid this does not weaken the team at all IMO.
Rooney let him go and get him self in the shop window for a contract at another club for next season.
It all makes sense if your not MG

maybe , maybe not .. Korki as made more impact in a month than scully did in a year.
different players will give you different results depending on club and coach , thornman is a true example of this.
BTW MG may be right but 1/1000 is a poor return.
Nice avatar BTW
