The lease on the stadium was of little if any value for security purposes. Since it would not survive the insolvency of the club, and the club was not anyway empowered to assign the lease or otehrwise develop the site without the council's permission. It had no book vlaue.

The cash they received from the RFL for the sale of the leasehold interest, by contrast, DID have value.
