Immunity is the wrong word. Just have to be handled in a very different way. You can't go around putting kids in arm locks.
I don't see how Cas could have won. Fined if they don't throw em out and sued if they do!

As has been clarified a number of times, teachers can 'handle' pupils. Regardless of what some hysterical parts of the media would have you believe.

| Two e-mails sent to Blake Solly, RFL compliance manager regarding these issues.
Dear Mr Solly
I am writing to complain about the consistent abusive and expletive-littered chanting directed towards St Helen's player Jame Graham and the match referee during the above game.
I first heard an abusive, offensive and obscene chant 6 minutes and 38 seconds into the game, and twice again before half time. These three chants referred to player James Graham as a "fat, ginger b*****d". This is in clear contradiction of the RFL's Respect policy which states that"RFL Respect Policy No persons attending a match shall, coach, referee, touch judge, official or other spectator;"[/i
Later in this match, during the 61st minute, match referee Richard Silverwood was abused by fans chanting "the referee's a w****r". Again, this is in clear contradiction of the RFL's Respect policy which states that"RFL Respect Policy 1 No person/s attending a match shallany player, coach, referee, touch judge, official or other spectator;"[/i
As the Complaince Manager with the RFL, I would urge you to investigate these abusive, offensive and obscene chants that contradict the Respect Policy, and could damage the reputation and image of the game.
I would be particularly intrigued as to the steps that the Leeds Rhinos club took prior to the game to prevent abusive behaviour. In addition, despite repeated abusive chanting not once did I hear announcements made to the crowd in response to this in an attempt to try and stop the chanting.
Yours sincerely
Dear Mr Solly
I am writing to complain about the abusive and expletive-littered chanting directed towards Hull FC player Paul Cooke during the above game.
Early in the game, Hull FC supporters could be clearly heard chanting; "Die, die, Cookie [Paul Cooke] f***ing die". This is in clear contradiction of the RFL's Respect policy which states that"RFL Respect Policy No person/s attending a match shall, coach, referee, touch judge, official or other spectator;"
[/iAs the Complaince Manager with the RFL, I would urge you to investigate these abusive and offensive chants. I am beginning to re-consider attending further Super League games as I do not wish my young daughter to hear such offensive chanting. Likewise, I no longer feel confident watching Sky coverage of the Super League with my family as, having watched a repeat of this game, the chanting is clearly audible on television.
Yours sincerely,
So now we have had clear breaches of the Respect Policy in two consecutive weeks. Time to see if the RFL are willing to set the precedent they have set.

Dear Mr Tiger
Thanks ever so much for your emails.
I was in Nottingham a few weeks ago and at precisely 23:43 (and 4 seconds) whilst waiting in the queue at a mobile burger van I clearly head someone shout 'You f**king w*nkers' at 2 Policemen who were walking past on mobile foot patrol.
Further to this at exactly 00:15 (and 43 seconds) I also heard one member of a group of approximately 6 males aged between 20 and 30 shout 'Show us yer t*ts luv' to a particularly buxom young lady and her friend as we stood waiting for a taxi.
As a bloke who lives in Nottingham I would urge you to investigate these abusive and offensive comments. I am beginning to re-consider attending Nottingham (or indeed any other typical British city on any weekend night) as I do not wish my friends to hear such offensive things. Likewise, I no longer feel confident watching 'Police camera action' or 'Cops on the frontline' on telly with my family in case I hear anyone shouting any sweary words.
When you have finished investigating these 2 incidents perhaps you could search on eBay for a 'life' for yourself as I think you seriously need to get one.
Regards
Mr Solly
xx

| Barry, as far as I am aware the nightlife of Nottingham is not covered by the RFL's Respect policy, and therefore your post is irrelevant, as are the vast majority of your other 2736 (and you think I need to buy a life from ebay!).
What IS covered by the Respect Policy is the behaviour of RL fans in RL grounds. If they are going to slap fines on one club for breaking the policy, why should other clubs not be brought to task when they do the same?
PS - were you at the mobile burger van outside Ocean Nightclub - hope you didn't buy anything, that place is a health-hazard.

Why is a group of people chanting 'The referees a w&nker' or calling James Graham a 'Fat Ginger b&stard' any different to the examples I provided?
All equally offensive.
All shouldnt happen.
But rightly or wrongly they have all happened.
And they will continue to happen in every sporting stadium up and down the UK whenever sports such as Rugby or soccer are being played.
Its more or less impossible to Police.

Because they happened in a rugby league ground which is goverened by the RFL, unlike inner-city Nottingham.

can anybody else see where either of these chants offend either player because of their [irace, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or faith
[/i
if you cant, because they dont, then they arent analogous, and the precedent set by the RFL regarding homophobia is irrelevant. The RFL thankfully make a clear distinction between the real crimes of discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation or faith, and the nonsense shouted at Paul Cooke and James Graham.
And im sure when the RFL dont fine Hull and Leeds the same amount (if anything) im sure we will see those to stupid to understand or wilfully not understanding the fairly clear difference, saying that this is evidence of how the RFL was picking on little old Cas.

Do you not see the discrimination in the fact that nobody considers your hurt unless you are a certain race, gender, age etc.....
