| Quote: pyeman "The rfl wouldnt give franchises to two teams in the same stadium, one would lose their franchise, then be seen by there own fans as tennants people will stop coming, the club will die. Inter and ac, are playing a differant sport, in a differant country, where they dont have a franchise system, and whats more what like all the other examples qouted they are in the same place. Castleford and wakefield are differanrt places, you can put a stadium for two milan teams in milan, but you cant put a stadium in cas and wakey. So where do you put it? cas? then even if they dont lose thier franchise over sharing a ground they lose it as hardly any of there fans would want to travel to cas, the reverse is true if you put the stadium in wakey. If you put it in the middle somewhere out of both places then both teams are going to lose fans (if you want to know how how badly having an out of town ground can effect you ask the swinton fans) and with less fans and money they wouldnt survive for long in sl.
Cas have a location that will have better transport links and more entertainment than any other rl stadium, wakey seem to be quite happy with j30 as well. These stadiums could be the key to both clubs regularley challenging for honours, without them neither team will do.
Keighley havent got much money by the way, why dont you sell the ground and move in with bradford? makes alot more sense to me.'" Is that the same logic that said two teams in the same city would never both get franchies?

Wise? A stadium built, fitted out and pitch laid and bedded in 52 weeks. That is some going.

Just remember your club is funded by a sugar daddy and when he gets his piece of silverware he will soon become resentful of bankrolling your club for ever diminishing returns. History is full of teams that have been bankrolled to success who have then collapsed like a pack of cards - enjoy it while you can it may not last.
Personally I cheered Hudds on against Saints, because you were the better team and possibly the best team I've seen this season. Still that's not good enough is it, you still feel the need to to have a swipe with your unfounded claptrap.
I will still cheer Hudds on at Wembley which isn't easy, but should you fail I will have a wee smile at your expense.
Dimril and co don't pretend to be reasonable but you do when it suits, but when push comes to shove you seem happy to be in the gutter with them - it's a bit sad don't you think?

Impossible I'd say. But let's be realistic, so long as the building has started I think both clubs will easily get the not. Ditto Saints who possibly won't make the deadline either.
SL are not going to kick out clubs with good Academies (fantastic in Wakefields case) and solid first teams with decent support and reasonable finances unless they absolutely have too.
With Celtic IMO unlikely to survive another season (which I am sad about but not surprised) and Salford unlikely to get a Stadium at all and with Widnes the only club remotely finacially capable of replacing them who is going to replace Cas, Wakey, and possibly Saint?
Answers in the real world - no one. There are no other teams remotely capable of making it in SL and no new regions even remotely interested in RL IMO.
The RFL are dumb but not that dumb, Celtic is a huge drain on the game and although they may stick with it they certainly won't risk another.

Ken Davy has publicly said otherwise. Please share with us the factual basis for your assertion.
More likely you are making things up in a desperate attempt to make a point - twas ever thus.
I think Davy has proven more reliable than the many empty promises that have come out of wakey re a stadium (not very difficult, I know).

| So Wakefield then....
Back to the original point, who would have thought we would have cruised into a secured play-off place with two games to spare with all our well documented financial troubles and terribly poor squad management?
Well done JK and all involved at the club.

indeed. a very likeable coach who i am sure is able to gain respect.
i hope wakey can progress as a club both on and off the pitch.
There are two railway stations in the city centre, Wakefield Westgate and Wakefield Kirkgate.

Or making up silly numbers to make you feel good? I hope it comforts you.
I think low cost season tickets are to be commended. Perhaps you want higher priced tickets , I do not. No doubt you will make equally silly remark re Ted R planning to reduce your prices
Nor do I share your inverted snobbery re 'sugar daddies'. I am glad that people want to put money into local sport teams. Many sport teams in many sports are funded in this way.HTH
