I expect Leigh will do better than that. I think they may even give Hull KR a contest at the bottom, based on what I saw of KR last season (although I don't know the quality of their recruitment except for Luis Johnson, the lad brought in from Wire).

I'd argue that Leigh's own squad of 2005 was worse than their current one? So not the worst of all time. Can't believe I'm even replying to this but:

Worst SL Teams: Workington (1996), Huddersfield (1998, 2000), Halifax (2003), Crusaders (2009, 2011), Widnes (2012, 2018), London (2013, 2014), Bradford (2014), Wakefield (2015).

Leigh have a better squad than all of those sides. So nowhere near the worst in SL. They'll give a few clubs a run for their money next season as well. They arguably have a better squad now than in 2017.

In fairness, Davids, Leigh only got two wins in 2005 (? - the years merge). Hoping to make a fine fist of it this time (was much better last time out too).

If, when the proverbial pudding has been eaten, that hope is proven, Steph and his/her imaginary Matey Alma (Winwick Academy alumnus also?) will only have umble pie and their words to eat.
