Take it this was after Mr Green banning him from Odsal. We have moved on and I personally have enjoyed all games against Bradford. Something I will miss.

Well you should have thought of that before you jumped into bed with the rfl and became their new favourites!
Only joking of course and I do wish Leigh the best of luck. Said it before but Leigh were the best choice for it and it could be a blessing in disguise for Bradford as we likely wouldn’t have come out of it well had we been chosen.
Still hopefully a good season in the championship (we are overdue one!) and there is always next year...

Is it? This genuinely isn't a case of sour grapes but that's a really dull SL line-up for next year. I can't imagine paying any attention to how it pans out in the way I would have if a left-field team had gone in like York or Feath. I'm happy that Leigh went in but the league as a whole seems incredibly meh. If Leigh can do a London and give some bloody noses it might be of some interest.

Being brutally honest, although it would have been great to see a "new" face in SL (York, Toulouse or Fev), ultimately, nothing much will change.
Aside from supporting your own side, the interest comes in seeing how the promoted club goes and whether anyone different breaks into the top 4/6 and whether any of the big clubs struggle.
Sure, there will be some shocks along the way and we all just hope to be able to go and watch some live RL.
Getting the fans back in is THE most important issue for 2021 and then it's the World Cup.
Plenty to look forward to, covid permitting.
The battle at the top of the Championship should be pretty exciting. 5 or 6 genuine contenders and all with a point to prove, after being rejected for the golden ticket.

Well it was of great interest when Leigh did Saints and Wigan before big crowds last time? And a great disappointment when the system dropped them despite 11th, place.
Do you think that York and Featherstone had the money for the players? The applicants published applications were full of aren't we great, but very thin on any promises to heavily invest in a competitive team. Notwithstanding London may have grabbed their 10 wins also well short on the Salary Cap - or were they?

I'll go with this 100%. Good chance that we could arrest the decline in crowds next season and build them back up, not just on the idea fans didn't get to go this year but the idea that the game has modernised through the end of scrums. I thought that was a great success although I don't know if we will carry on next year with no scrums - do you?
And yes with the number of clubs who said they could be a great assett to Superleague 2021 they will have the chance to show it next year as AFAIK new TV deal or not there will be P & R.......

no I think there will be a couple crapping themselves I think Leeds was unlucky to be where they were and had a lucky cup win, they are due a poor season as they have lately hit one miss one hit one, you never know you might just pass each other next year

We know of a DECCA used to make records, we know of a Degsy the nickname for a Derek but we don't know of any Dekka or players who had their contracts cancelled !
Please pay more attention in class !!!

| Quote: Donnyman "Agree with the first part, but new players were brought in on new Contracts on Leigh's return to the Championship weren't they?? This was with a view to returning Leigh straight back to Superleague, That didn't happen and Mr. B was understandably upset as he'd spent so much and got relegated when he had not come bottom......
......then he spent heavily again only for Leigh to come sixth albeit only one point off joint second place. He was understandably very disappointed, criticised players and put the club up for sale which may have caused the contractual arguments we are discussing. Thankfully he stayed on and happily Superleague have had great sympathy with him and he's got the 12th. place.
I'll be rooting for him and Leigh to have a change of fortune 2020 and avoid the bottom spot then go from there. Leigh are a grand old club formed in 1878..........'"
Derek Beaumont explains the contract situation of 2018 very well (yet again) in his interview with Matthew Shaw on Facebook.

Me too, it's a great rivalry, fiercely fought on the field with friendly rivalry & banter between fans in the stands, both sets of fans will miss it.

Have you seen your squad? It’s easily the worst SL squad of all time. It’s full of amateur players
