That's the final straw for me. His pathetic attempts to justify his walkout are embarrassing. 'Waaah I didn't like the set-up, the training, the team selection waaaah'... What the hell would someone like Alan Prescott say to whining like that?
You're there with your team-mates (whether you like them all or not), you're representing your country (the highest honour for any sportsperson) and you've got the chance to win a competition in Australia (the ultimate for any British RL player). And all that aside, you do not let your team-mates down, you do not spit your dummy and leave them in the lurch.
He's been a quality player and I can look past his childish antics on the field and even the betting as youthful exuberance, but to turn your back on your players is something else. |

I know he's had a colourful career, but I think he's still probably the best British scrumhalf playing. If he stays fit I think he'll give Hull FC a good chunk of what they've been missing.
