Based on the last 12 months, I'd have to say yes. I can't understand why NSW shove him out on the wing, when they chop and change their halfback combination every game without giving Hayne a shot.

| Can't remember whether it was 1996 or 1997 premiership final. Jason Robinson ran from one wing to the other to tackle Anthony Sullivan into touch before he could get to the line. Would love to see that one again.

Agree with that, completely baffles me. I think we're pretty lucky at the moment with the calibre of Full Backs around at the moment. Especially Slater and Hayne.
My point about internationals is that once he chose Fiji, he has to stick with them.

Have a search for 'Brian Carney Tackle on Anthony Sullivan' on the world's favourite vidsite.
What a chase and tackle, all in the space of about 3 seconds.

| Not sure who it was on, but Talau against Hull earlier this season was definitely a game saver.

| Well, via the miracle of SKY+ I have finally seen this tackle – I take it you were talking about the Bulldogs game?
The tackle was pretty good but not the best ever... for a start, it wasn’t the winger going into the corner, it was the loose forward (Stagg). Stagg had actually grounded the ball but it was short and Hayne rolled him over before he could ground it again. Good play but I wouldn’t say it was as good as the other tackle we were discussing!!
What really wound me up about this game though was the commentators creaming themselves over Jarrod Hayne and “one of the best individual performers you will see”. He played well and scored a belting first try, backed up well for the second and threw a pretty good pass for the third (defensive winger was at fault though as they had numbered up)
Three incidents spring to mind though
Firstly, Hayne runs 40 meters across the field across the defensive line and then throws the ball directly into touch... if an English player had done that the commentators would have crucified him but they call Hayne ‘unplayable’
Second, Hayne gets beat in the air from a bomb and the Bulldogs score – no fault of Haynes of course
And the best... Hayne knocks on from a bomb and the Bulldogs score on the next tackle. Any fault of Hayne’s? Of course not, he is a hero for nearly stopping the grounding
OK... I admit, I would love Hayne to be English and he would walk into the England team but the levels of adulation in this game were unbelievable

| Two or three years ago Huddersfield v Bradford at the Galpharm. Halley breaks through the line and runs for the line. In the action of diving over the line Stephen Wild, who had tracked back, comes in with a man and ball tackle knocking the ball out of his hands....Perfect.
