Has anyone here heard of the global recession?
Is the stadium going to be funded by government stimulus spending funds?
It is hard to imagine a private consortium sticking its neck out in these times of tight credit.
If not government funded, which decade do you think it might get started? Last time I checked, the decision on 2012 SL licenses is to be made in early 2011.

| Good news for a club that really, really deserves some good news at the moment. I think pitching the capacity at 12K is spot on. Even the threat of an occasional sell out will drive demand up and with a bit of clever marketing for the less-popular games, it could have a very positive impact on the Wakefield average gate.

The Location is about 10 minute drive outside of Wakefield right next to the M62. For away fans it's perfect, and although not in a residential area i do think with a good bus service will prove easily accessible by all.
With the site likely to be Brownfield i think this has led to it being chosen. |
