As of five minutes ago it technically hasn't sold out. I rang the RFL ticketline and bought three tickets for a friend without any problem. There was a choice of stand as well.

After all none of the press are going to spot the 500 empty seats, as they'll all be at City's ground watching Uruguay beat England (Or an England side freed from the shackles of Sam Burgess destroying the 5th best side in the entire galaxy in front of 112 trillion viewers in Uruguay alone) won't they!

They are notorious for manipulating figures not to show the sport in a good light, but so that they can appear to be competent when they are anything but.

Ordered mine on Friday night from the RFL, they came today.

The RFL should put a big TV screen(s) just outside the Man City ground and give the the Union fans the chance to see what RL is all about. Would be worth the cost just for the media reaction.

That would be awesome.

There's already some permanent screens set up at the Etihad. And considering City are always inviting RL teams and players to games (they've had Matty Smith and Sam Powell from Wigan, Gene Ormsby and Matty Russell from Wire, the USA RL team, the England RL team all on the pitch and at City Square at City in the last few years), there must be some RL fans at City (as there've been one RU player - Will Greenwood, a City fan - and no RU teams invited); they might go for it!
