i dont own any AFL shirts.
i have something like 40 - 50 rugby league jerseys.
i have something like 100 books on RL.
i have spent around $100,000 on RL memorabilia incluing signed origin jerseys, signed kangaroo jerseys etc
indeed my place has better memorabilia than the George Hotel - which ive been too!

They weren't consecutive though as they were broken up by a year in the National League  Oh, and if you re-read the bit I've quoted it sounds like you're saying we've finished bottom of the league in three different seasons. I disagree there is no model for Championship club as we were a newly relegated club with ambition to get straight back to Super League. Had we stayed down there for a few seasons like Leigh it would have been a different story I fear.

Yes, there is a model to follow:
1. Get in and remain in the top flight for decades
2. Get relegated
3. Retain enough squad strength, financial strength and fan base from 1 to enable promotion straight away.
Easy really, why don't they all do that?

And Dally, Fitness First are garbage.

They were for Castleford , Castleford played in SL in 2004 , finished bottom , relegated , played in SL in 2006 , finished second bottom , relegated , played 2008 finished bottom
So that is 3 consecutive seasons in SL for Castleford , finishing bottom twice and being relegated twice

Whether an area is rugby league heartlands or not is dependent on how much rugby LEAGUE is played there not how much rugby UNION is played there. |
