| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"You can punch someone hard and nothing will be done for it. How many times do we see punches being thrown around the play the ball and nothing is ever done. People are just getting ahead of themselves because there is a serious injury. The actual physical contact was minimal, Cunningham had a man on top of him so his backswing was non existent and he was holding a rugby ball. Try it, seriously, lie on your back on the floor with your shoulders down, hold a cushion in your hand and try to make a punch. It's impossible. Stosic was just very unlucky, one of those inocuous contacts in sport that have disproportionate outcomes but you can't do anything to Cunningham because of it. If they did they would have to start issuing bans for every minor indiscretion and I bet every single game of Super League has an event worse than the little half punch Cunningham did.'"
No your wrong big time, I know from being a boxer that a sharp little punch can just be if not worse that a big power punch, even more so if hits in the right spot. so stop typing nonsense, Cunningham should be banned for 3 or 4 games.

| unprovoked attack a bit like Newton and you lot wanted his head and the ban to be more than the injuries
Injuries should be a deciding factor, as for JD on wellens he hit him with the palm in the chest/shoulder and it rose up, more of a push and he'll get nothing for it as it doesn't warrant anything.

| As opposed to NRL this morning where the attacking player hit out with a forearm on the ground to the defender. The penalty was awarded rightly to the defence.
He missed with the forearm fortunately but the intent was there.
So last week Saints cut Grix up so badly he needed to have stitches inside his mouth and also on the outside by the doctor at the stadium and then additional work done at the hospital. They got away with that and now this week you've got this, which he will probably get away with.

I do differentiate as do the RFL between two props having a flare up and a player in a defencless position being attacked to the head with no chance to defend himself.

| Quote St pete="St pete"why a big ban?
Players don't get banned by how long the player they injured is out for.
It was wrong and was a cheap shot but I doubt he will get more than 2 games.'"
Untrue.
Howell throws a blatant elbow to Sam Tomkins' face, no serious injury, 3 matches.
Terry Newton throws a blatant elbow to Sean Long's face...........
