| Brian Smith is buying a pretty decent squad ' on Paper ' as they say.
They shouldn't be a push-over next season.

Correct but then all squads are on paper at this point. I think we have all seen potentially good squads fail and seemingly unpromising one do well. The rot can set in unexpectedly at even the best run clubs, Leeds have a huge hole to fill and although I suspect they will we may still see a blip as the adjust.
For me the "They shouldn't be a push-over"is music to my ears. In my 30 years as a Trinity fans we have only ever been below average, average and occasionally quite good. However until last year I and many others gained sucker from the fact that generally we were hard to beat and had a bit of spirit even when we were not very good. Last year was just shameful on occasion and had P&R been in place I'd have accepted it without complaint as we deserved it. We now have a slightly undeserved second chance (nothing to do with the buying new players3/4 through the season ) so it would appear we are going for it - our way of saying sorry for last years no show

I wouldn't have said Wakey were the worst in that regard.

Always on the cards since he put his hand up for the early come back in the million pound game and then scored that crucial try.
Happy with the swap of Moore for McShane.

Could turn out to be the best signing of the season or easily be non descript.

I thought it was for 12 months as he's signed a deal with the WWE? Or has that changed now?

According to our website it's a two year deal.

You see this is what you get when you have a Brian Smith in the camp. When the Bulls wereate their pomp, we always had these sort of people involved, Smithy, EWlliott and others, including some seasoned and well travelled players, and so had a contact network and knowledge base in Aus that led to a large number of very decent signings coming our way rather than anybody elses.
It was a big advantage, as is the very fact of having a well-known and well-respected Aussie coach, that Aus players have respect for. I doubt the name of Wakefield is much of a pull for them, but Smithy most definitely is.
