| Ticket for Cardiff arrived this morning, together with a useful booklet on the grounds and how to get to them. Well done RFL.

| Is it true that 40k tickets have been sold for the final? As no block appears to have sold out on the website as yet whereas Millenium Stadium and Wembley are beginning to get quite a few sold out blocks.

I don't know why they aren't marked as sold out but loads of blocks must be. It's a struggle getting a few tickets together in loads of the price brackets.

If you look at United's website almost every section is sold out, or at least unavailable.
https://www.eticketing.co.uk/muticketsa ... emref=5082
Looks to me like there are only a few thousand seats left on sale at the moment, maybe 3 or 4 thousand.
Unless the RFL have retained tickets for areas that are listed on the site as unavailable, the ground looks almost sold out.

| Yes,I'm reliably informed that the RFL expect the final to be sold out before the WC starts.Terrific effort by the fans.Lets hope for something similar at Cardiff and Wembley.

| Considering British RL has approx 100,000-120,000 paying RL fans attending games ticket sales are going well IMO.

| It is to be hoped that all the "anecdotal evidence" circulating this time around is far more accurate than it was prior to the RLWC of empty seats back in 2000.

Hope so too. I remember people paying £10 on the day to get into that final, and there were still loads of spaces.
With the way the media have been getting behind sports stories recently, we need an England Australia final in front of a packed Old Trafford.

I think the Olympics has helped create a 'miss it, miss out' feeling amongst casual sports fans, and the RFL have so far done a good job of marketing the event IMO. We just need England to make a strong start, which will boost sales at Huddersfield & Hull for the group games, and for the Quarter final.

The Final will be a sell out...no RL fan will want to miss the opportunity to attend a RLWC Final.
The worry I have is the weekend before.....England v NZ at 1pm will be well attended, but the second semi-final might be played to a reduced crowd, with England fans from the north heading home early after their first game. That's why the "fans in the south" spin is being pushed hard, together with the hiring of heavy hitters to get it marketed and as many fans in attendance from the south as possible.

They need to make England the 2nd game no matter what happens, otherwise the prospect of a disappointing display and an empty Wembley for the 2nd game would look awful on TV.

England need to win Group A or to finish 3rd in the group for that to happen...If they finish 3rd, then they will met Australia in the 2nd Wembley Semi-Final and I believe Fiji would play NZ in the curtain raiser.
Can't see past England v Kiwis and Fiji v Australia in the semi's though....anyone who thinks the Australians might be tired, or not up for it doesn't understand Australians....they are smarting from 2008 and want their Trophy back.

| I wouldn't worry so much about the 2nd game, if England do play in the first game v NZ I think pretty much everyone will stay to support whoever are playing Australia in the second game.
While you're right and we are underestimating how much this means to the Australians, you are also underestimating how much we hate the Kangaroos.

Which is the mistake they've made with Cardiff, although that may have been because of the TV companies.

What makes you so certain it will be Fiji? There's a few teams that look stronger (depending on who's available)

Infortunately some fans will as they do with Magic weekend. They watch their own team then go home, cannot understand it myself.
Also agree with another poster in that I cannot understand why the RFL put the England game on first at Cardiff. Madness.

| Quote ="Bull Mania"I thought they were showing both faves love, would they really be that bothered about the time of the England game?'" They are using the 2.30pm Saturday slot on BBC for the England games throughout the tournament - I suspect the BBC want this and not to have to relegate that game to BBC2 at 4.30pm.
You also have the fact that the earlier the game, the better it is for Australian TV.
I also think it is quite good that Wales v Italy is not just being treated as a curtain raiser for the England game, there will be plenty of Welsh fans supporting their team, plus I expect plenty of England fans to stay too, I know I will be.
