| 2 from Gale Richardson and Williams if they're all fit.

| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "This is a major blow for England. Gareth Widdopp is arguably the best half back we’ve ever had.'"
Ever! Are you for real - he’s not in the same class as those from the sixties and earlier. As for more recent, Bobby Goulding had more talent in his little finger as did Schofield and Tony Myler and many more.
Just because Widdop has carved out a good career in the NRL it doesn’t automatically make him a great of the game.
He’s not the best in the NRL and IMO looks better for England at FB than at HB.

| Quote: Leon Ashton "That line is spun out all the time and its a load of guff, nobody knows what some of the players of yesteryear would be like in the modern era. You can only judge them by their playing record and Millwards record against the Aussies is far better than Widdops.'"
Correct it’s an utterly meaningless statement from a meaningless poster. I’m pretty confident Neil Fox would still be a great player even if hampered by playing full time

| As mentioned, widdopmhas had his best games for England at FB, that's no a position we're going to struggle to fill

| Wayne Bennett likes Stefan Ratchford or John Lomax at full back.
Gareth Widdop is needed in the halves but will not be available. Luke Gale has shown that he is overawed by internationals. George Williams is out of his depth in internationals.
New Zealand could humiliate England.

An utterly ridiculous statement.

Long played far better in internationals, including two massive performances in victory against Australia in '04 and '06, and that's coming from a Wigan fan.

If Sam Tomkins is fit and isn't playing Fullback for England at the end of this year then Bennett is clueless.
George Williams has also played about 40 mins in proper test matches so I don't know how he's out of his depth.
I'd be worried about the defensive abilities of a half back pairing of Richardson and Gale tbh.

| If you are going to proclaim him the greatest of all time at least get his name correct!
