| What utter ing drivel JB.
Have you been to all the grounds? Why are you using a different marking system for NRL then your using for SL?

| No I've not been to all grounds, care to suggest which you disagree with Sheldon?
For me the basics of a avg ground would be, mainly covered seats, 20k+ capacity, no hills (except nq where it is nice enough weather) 4 sides and decent food facilities. I've actually been generous with some, personally having been to Canberra I consider it a dog of a ground for the weather they get. Auckland is another ground that could easily be classed as poor but is saved by that massive decent stand. Nq is a grass hill and temp scaffolding stands mostly, generally I've been generous!
NRL and SL are different sized comps, different $ value therefore different expectations of facilities, especially capacity needs.

This hurts my head, any possibility you could re-type this using the English language?

So essentially as the criteria were different, you weren't really making any meaningful comparison between the NRL and ESL for grounds...
We suffer quite badly on this criteria tbh, though we're improving (finally).

A pitch that is too short and uneven is quality

Not at all, it's about being fit for purpose. An NRL player was slating the condition of SL grounds, I am merely pointing out the there are plenty of grounds in the NRL that are hardly state of the art.

widnes -modern stadium - 4g pitch
wigan - modern stadium - pitch fine
warrigton - modern stadium - pitch fine
st helens - modern stadium - pitch fine
salford - modern stadium - pitch fine
london - modern stadium - pitch fine
huddersfield - modern stadium - pitch fine
hull fc - modern stadium - pitch ok..
hull kr - being redeveloped - pitch fine
catalan - being redeveloped - pitch fine
leeds - historic stadium, plans to upgrade south stand, pitch best in the universe....apparently
So to summarise, he was correct in his statement "You play in some unbelievable stadiums like Wembley and then you play at others that are like cow paddocks".
Calling a stadium 'historic' or 'being redeveloped' does not change the fact it's a dump.
The fact is, some grounds are top notch, some are dumps. That's all he said.

| Maybe he's focusing on the stadiums because this year at Melbourne he'll be sat on the bench in a place he can enjoy them?

| His views on some of our grounds are hardly surprising. First impressions count and his first away game was at Leeds. A dump if ever there was one!
He may have talked down a few of our grounds but he did talk up us supporters.
Quite a fair article really.

| youve got to take in to account that the weather is worst over here so the pitches are never going to be at the best standard but rating pitches it would be:
Odsal - dont know why people are slagging the pitch off because as a regular spectator it always seems to be up to standard.
Probiz colliseum - alway seems to be a very good pitch.
Catalan - always looks good
Giants - very good
FC - good to say football is played there too.
KR - quite decent
Rhinos - at start of season terrible but seemed ok after that
London - always quite good
salford - really good
saints - very good
wakey - quite good but not the best
warington - always seems good
Widnes - cant fault it and very modern apart from players getting grazed knees
Wigan - very good
You can only expect bad pitches at the start of the season because the bad weather with the snow in australia they dont have that same problem so therefore its easier for them and the ground over there is solid.

So on that's basis the ground where they play the grand final, origin and host the big Sydney derbys is average cause it's too big? Utter drivel.

| I'm a Warry fan, but on the gems in SL in my humble opinion is Castleford's. great atmosphere and genuine decent people. A fixture I will look forward to this year.
