the current deal hasn't ended, and what's the issue with having no title sponsor on the fixtures yet? the only people who should be bothered about that are the new sponsors.

Don't see why it needs to be announced now on the quiet. If I was a sponsor I would want the announcement to be a few weeks before, when excitement for the competition is building and they are about to launch the competition. If you invest in something your main concern is getting maximum exposure, not your fixtures list having a nice new logo on it.

I would’ve thought that a sponsor would want both. At a guess I reckon 100 thousand people or so have had a look to see who their team are playing and when. I guess that kind of exposure is worth paying for. |

I think KPMG should sponsor super league. Would be interesting watching the clubs, the RFL and KPMG counting the sponsorship money to see if they all got the same total!

The Challenge cup has already started.....the Carnegie deal was for 6 years, 2007-2012, with no extension announced, but the BBC still refer to it as the Carnegie Challenge Cup?
73 days to go until SL starts.....I can't think of any other professional sport in the UK that wouldn't have a sponsor for it's league comp announced by now......let alone it's cup comp that has already started 
If sarries can command 8 million quid over 6 years, then surely to god the RFL can at least match it  |
