| Hoping to get to Aus for the 4 Nations next year, just for two weeks though (last England group game and the final).
When are the fixtures/venues to be announced? Hopefully it'll be Australia vs England at the Suncorp, that's probably the stadium I'd most like to visit.

| Some hints in this article that games will be in NZ
Quote: veritable banquet "Buoyed by an on-budget Four Nations that means a handsome profit will return with him to New Zealand this week, NZRL chairman Scott Carter is promising a "veritable banquet" of test match league next season.
The Kiwis will have four home tests - a rare deluge of international football - spread around the country and the NZRL is also ready to create a national under-20 side and perhaps resurrect the national 'A' team.
Having fended off a bid from Papua New Guinea to host their test against England in Port Moresby, Carter is now just weeks from confirming a planned NZ v Australia, England v PNG double-header at Eden Park next November.
And Carter is so confident that league tests have become financially viable in New Zealand that he is considering trying to prise the annual May test away from Australia and play it here in 2011New Zealand will play a home warm-up against a Pacific Islands nation, then three Four Nations tests at home against England, Australia and PNG.
The Kiwis will play at least one home test in 2011 against an island side, as well as, hopefully, that test against Australia.
For the first time, the NZRL is asking for tenders from venues to host the games, and Carter, who is "acutely aware" of the need to take fixtures outside Auckland, says demand has been high, particularly from rebuilt stadiums wanting to test themselves out before the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and Rotorua are likely candidates for the four games, with a Christchurch test likely to be held in conjunction with the New Zealand Cup racing carnival.
Carter said Australia was happy to cede their game to New Zealand, because they were "mindful it would be inappropriate for them to have home advantage all the time" and because Australia will host the final.
In another development that will please local fans, Carter says developing international football for the under-20s is a "must-achieve" for New Zealand to ensure the best youngsters graduate to the Kiwis (and not other national teams) and expects an Australia-New Zealand under-20 game next year and even an under-20 Tri-Nations.
The NZRL now appears headed for a positive balance sheet in January, with Carter saying this year's Four Nations would hit budget. "It's fair to say England, Australia and New Zealand took a conservative view: we didn't want a repeat of 2007," he said, referring to the Kiwis' disastrous trip to England two years ago.
"All three nations wanted to see a stable tournament - New Zealand literally couldn't afford to lose money."
Carter said the four-team format had worked and would be retained. "The consensus is that France has stepped up: that was always the worry that what was a very good Tri- Nations format would be watered down. But we are really pleased with how France shaped up, especially considering the challenges of injury, suspension and swine flu."
And he also staunchly backed the Anzac test, which previous administrators wanted to can, declaring: "We're very keen for it to continue - you would have to ask why on earth you would be in charge of the NZRL if you didn't want to play Australia?"
Having won the battle to have a Kiwi referee at this morning's Four Nations final, the New Zealand delegation was "satisfied" with the other outcomes of the International Federation meeting at Leeds.
The meeting heard plans for a 16-team world cup in England in 2013, Carter indicating he was now swaying towards such expansion, adding: "Everyone was surprised what a strong argument was put forward for a 16-team tournament: it was a very compelling case. It's fair to say everyone entered the meeting fairly fixed on the concept of a 12-team format but the presentation was so good and sensible, it is being mulled over."
Despite Kiwi demands for tighter rules, there was no firm resolution on the troubled question of international player eligibility, despite New Zealand demands to tighten the rules to stop what Carter calls the "mockery of nation hopping": as demonstrated by Fuifui Moimoi, who has switched from Tonga to New Zealand twice in three years.

| Mockery of natiuon swapping. Why? If someone is dual-national, why can't people accept that they may want to represent either or both country? Seriously, is there anyone who IS dual-national who has a problem with this, or is it only people who only have one nationality and hence DON'T UNDERSTAND THE ISSUE?

| About as much info as I can findHost Nation - Australia and New Zealand
Number of Teams - 4
2010 Four-Nations Snapshot - The 2010 Four-Nations is the 2nd instalment of the highly successful rugby league competition. With the ongoing improvement of 2nd tier nations, the successful Tri-Nations series has been expanded. The Four-Nations will take place in Australia and New Zealand in October / November 2010.
Each team will play each other once in the pool rounds with the top two nations contesting the final. The Four Nations will run over four weeks. The format will be much like the early World Cup competitions. It has been speculated that a revamped Eden Park in Auckland or Wellington's Westpac Stadium could hold the opening game to kick off the tournament with England playing New Zealand. Melbourne's new rectangular stadium is also in line to host the England v Australia game. Other possible venues include Rotorua (NZ v PNG), Townsville (AUS v PNG), The final will more then likely be hosted in Brisbane due to the near capacity crowds that have turned up to international rugby league games in recent times.
The 2009 Pacific Cup winners Papua New Guinea have secured their place as the fourth team in the 2010 Four Nations. Papua New Guinea are the only nation to have Rugby League as their number one national sport. Over the last 5 years they have been improving their local SP Cup competition and stamped their authority as the best team in the Pacific by winning the Pacific Cup. They also showed the world that they can compete with the big three after putting in great performance in the pool of death during the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.
In late 2009 Papua New Guinea put a submission forward to the National Rugby League for the inclusion of a PNG based team in the NRL in 2013. In 2010 Papua New Guinea are once again out to prove they can mix it with Australia, England and New Zealand and are worthy of consideration for their own NRL team.
The 2010 Four Nations is shaping up to be the most successful Tri/Four Nations tournament staged to date and will continue with the Rugby League International Federation's (RLIF) plans to strengthen the international game at the top level.[/i'"
Are the fixtures, dates and venues still not out yet? Once again RL shoots itself in the foot, here we have a tournament less than 12 months away, people are expected to travel from the UK, early in the new year is about the time you want to start getting everything booked up, and as far as I can see, still no fixtures released!!!
The cricket world cup in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh 2011 has released fixtures, the rugby union world cup in New Zealand 2011 has released fixtures, so why has nothing been released yet for this, in 2010?
If the fixtures have been released, and i've just missed it, I apologise

We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

Ive been emailing thr RFL for months now without even a reply to confirm that theyve recieved the email. Rang HQ up last week only to be told that there was nobody there to speak to, I was even asked what time of the year do I think it is? Finally I was told to just keep checking the official website as dates have still not been confirmed.
However/whatever the problem is it's pretty bad form not to be able to inform fans that wish to travel of the dates and venues. Its now less than 10 months until the start of the tournament. But this is the RFL we are dealing with here, and we should know better than expect a professionally run operation, should'nt we?

| what a surprise! Not liek they haven't known it was happening. How hard is it to book some stadiums? What the frick does Love do to earn his RLIF salary?
re 5 Nations, I think we should have PNG and France in every time. Only way they will get stronger to challenge one day. Look at how Italy has progressed with regular exposure to top Internationals.

We might not be organising the comp, but the RFL should at least acknowledge fans that email them countless times and surely staff at the RFL should know what time of the year the tournament is due to be staged?
I can't believe that the start of the season will commence without the final itinerary being known.
