Just a few games left now, have people still got the same opinions on who gets the award?

Shenton has impressed for Cas and although i dont think he will get it should have done enough to regain a test spot.Walsh has been great for Saints at times but the injuries put him out of the running.I still take Peacock as the slight front runner but there isn't alot between him, Hill and Roby.The next 6 weeks could be very important in seeing who can pull out the big performances to nudge themselves over the line.

That shows the weakness of SL, that Jamie Peacock (great player) can still considered for mos.

Who ever performs the best during the next 8 weeks grabs the accolade. My money will be on JP.

I don't think JP has been a patch on last season so far. It would be a fitting reward for an outstanding career however.

I'd have a shortlist of Huby, Clark, Hill & Whitehead. That said, there's a lot of games to be played yet

Powell backing Lynch as a contender. Can't really argue. As consistent as ever. Was outstanding at the Bulls and its a travesty be hasn't earned more international caps.

Lynch 'another' one of those players who's work goes largely unnoticed because he keeps things simple but very effective for his team.

It's hard to choose I think. I think a lot if players have had good seasons but can't think of many that stand out from the rest. First time that's happened for a good while and shows how even the comp has been this season.

As I recall he was called up to the squad a couple of times but then got injured, married, or generally had something else he'd rather be doing. Travisty? More like a combination of bad luck and lack of desire to play for England.

I don't think they would get many complaints with Huby, Clark or Lynch.
Throw Peacock in (although as stated, he's not been as good as last year), plus maybe Walsh & Hill and that would be my final list, with Clark taking it.

For me this year he has been the stand out. Has what it takes to be a really top class player.

If Clark was to win it, which he has every chance of doing, would he be the youngest ever winner of the title?

Clarke certainly seems to be the people's favourite.

Think Martin Offiah, Andy Farrell and Joe Lydon were around 21 when they won (depends what time of the year the award was decided back in those.)
