I'm not so sure.
Last time we played (at Leigh), there were 1800 - 1900 Wakey fans out of a crowd of 2300.
If it's anything like that, even Dr K, will be pleased with the revenue
'" .
Wrencat , I'm expecting that 1800-1900 to actually turn up at the right stadium this time on the 10th June

| Quote RLBandit="RLBandit"Indeed, it feels far more likely to me that fans outside the M62 corridor will be attracted to a international game of significance than an unimportant match between Salford and Castleford. Congratulations on a far less delusional insight. '"
How do you know who was watching Saturday's game on TV? That's right, you don't. You have absolutely no idea what the interest levels are in our sport from either outside or within the M62 region.
All you know is that two perennially struggling clubs are failing to attract bodies to their stadia - at the moment. Given that both Salford and London have had much bigger crowds in their recent past than they have at present suggests that the fans are out there but they are biding their time or need enticing back. A competitive team is one thing both clubs need along with good management and a settled and accessible place to call home.

| Quote SaintsFan="SaintsFan"The country is entirely irrelevant. Whether you like to accept it or not, Nobby got the new version of the Crusaders to the play offs when they had been in administration the season before and the finance guy (who I believe is English but went to live in Australia) turned around a club in Australia which was on the verge of bankruptcy when he joined it. So really, in the two most important areas, Salford now have two individuals who have experience in turning things around for the better from pretty desperate beginnings.
I hope Salford really do well out of this. Once the momentum starts to pick up - and maybe the club and it's most loyal fans will have to wait until there is a more experienced team for the momentum to really start going - then assuming the marketing is directed appropriately, the spectator numbers should start increasing.'"
The country is extremely relevant, I have no doubt Noble will assemble a capable team, but as has been alouded to, just producing a relatively successful team doesnt neccessarily equate to bums on seats

| 10,000 fans =somewhere between 6,000,000 and 7,500,000 a year in turn over and self sufficiency....or close to it.
Until Salford hit 10,000 fans and this is based on them wanting success on the park, Dr CashCow will be looking at somewhere between 3.5 and 5 million of personal investment per year to compete for the star players that he mistakenly believes will attract 10,000 fans. If he's looking to build forthe future, then Brian Noble seems a very strange choice of coach.....he's hardly known for his yoof set up.I believe instant gratification is what the good DR is chasing...
The same FORMULA of fans = turnover = money to attract decent players long term applies for all the other socalled medium/small clubs in SL btw

| Quote vbfg="vbfg"I'd made my point. Were you expecting a song and dance routine?
Sorry that it offends you so, but it was still a poor game. The quality of other games (and fwiw, there was plenty of commitment from both sides yesterday) doesn't alter the quality of the one under discussion.'"
What I find offensive is the snooty arrogance of some supporters of the 'big' clubs who take every opportunity to snipe at and belittle the efforts of clubs which are struggling,
Its particularly hypocritical coming from a Bulls fan who felt the need to 'make his point' with at least half a dozen negative postings but who then fell silent when his probationary side got a towelling.

How many times are you going to make the same point?
Oh, and your amazing wordplay to make "CashCow" out of "Koukash" has me in stitches every time! Brilliant!
Don't worry about us Glitter, we'll be fine.

| Trust me Hull KR will be around a hell of a long time after the Dr's bailing leads to Salford's demise.
Rovers are built on heritage and pride in the local area. You can't manufacture a club like he probably thinks you can. No support, no local meaning, no heritage - money can't buy any of that (or class).
I give it a year.

Is this what having money in Super League entails? Putting up with bellendery like this?
Almost every day for the past week I've seen some snidey comment from a fan of another team about us. Pretty pathetic really.

Last seasons game being moved was total farce and absolutely unnecessary and it must have cost your club a few quid to move the fixture.
With the 2 games (Catalan/Bradford and Salford/Wakefield) not being synchronised, the RFL should have just left the original fixtures and venues as they were.
However, this still didn't excuse the home fans not turning up for the last game of the season and the missing the opportunity to bid farewell to the players and staff that were leaving etc.
The apathy among the Salford "faithful" still remains.
Although the situations are similar, the reaction of the Bulls fans last season, compared to your own couldn't be more stark.
They backed their club in great number and yet nobody over there seems bothered.
