Trent Barrett was not as influential as even Gregory Bird was in 2009. That is because in his first stint at Catalans Captain Gregory Bird lifted the club from the depths it had sunk under coach Kevin Walters to playoff contenders. He was a charismatic inspirational leader. I foresee more such success in Gregory' second coming.

You could be wrong and you are wrong about Trent Barrett.

Todd Carney has been proven physically and mentally brittle. Plus he is not successful with women. That is not the case with Gregory Bird. There is no comparison. Gregory is a tough hombre. And he comes well equipped with the former Becca Rochow. Look out for a rejuvenated Catalans team in 2017.
