Double header was a great idea. Not only do Saints have to watch this but they have to listen to thousands of Leeds and Wire fans take the mick too!

It may be the case that every ticket has been sold but it was always going to be the case that many fans of Leeds and Warrington wouldn't turn up until their game and most if not all of the Saints and Catalan fans will depart when their game ends. The allocation being split by ends just makes it look more stark. The other end will be full for game 2 with the end that's full now emptying.


Excellent start by the Catalans by the way. Very reminiscent of their previous semi final when they blew us away in 2007.


Saints losing 27-0 brings back cup memories for us Wigan fans too.

Really really good performance by Catalans so far. Forwards are so dominant. Tread to think how empty Wembley could look if they go on to win this, but I sure am rooting for them now.

TBH not surprised that Saints are playing poor when the pressure is on. They struggled vs Hull in the QF and were fortunate that Hull got 3 yellow cards.

Fantastic play from Catalan so far, giving the middle a real thrashing.
Didn’t know how to feel about this game, Catalan have played with some poor sportsmanship in recent games, but I think I’m overall cheering them on, love an underdog, and find it hilarious going back to when the Saints fans cheered at being drawn against them.

Still, would love to see a 2nd half come back thriller

Seems weird that the foul play overrides the knock-on even though he knocked-on before the high tackle?

Nah that principle is right otherwise if you see someone knock-on you can just go and smack em in the head with no punishment.

I’d disagree that it was a high tackle though. I thought the Catalans player was trying to catch the ball and wasn’t attempting a tackle. For me it should have been play on and then Saints should also have been penalised a minute later when they forced Catalans to knock on near their own line. There was a flop on the Catalans player who took the high ball and then got smashed. The tackle was fine (great hit) the Saints player following up was a flop.

I’m the same. Following their shameful performance at Headingley I didn’t really want them to do well. But they’ve played great rugby today and with none (or very little) of the disgraceful stuff. So good luck to em.
