I think there is a place for both England and GB. England for 4 Nations & World Cup, GB for Ashes & Kiwi tours.

I'd like to see something along the lines of:
Year 1 - 5 Nations down under (Eng, Aus, NZ, PNG & other Southern Hemisphere team)
Year 2 - Aus v GB tour here
Year 3 - 5 Nations here (Eng, Aus, NZ, Wales & France)
Year 4 - World Cup
Year 5 - 5 Nations down under
Year 6 - GB v Aus tour down under
Year 7 - 5 Nations here
Year 8 - World Cup

Plus an annual mid-season Home Nations comp of Eng, Fra, Wales, Scotland & Ireland here, and a mid-season Comp down under of Aus, NZ, PNG, Fiji.

I know the domestic season would be affected, but clubs will just have to survive without a few of their top players for a couple of games a season.

In what way is it 'needed' other than to satiate dinosaurs who can't let go of the past?

New Zealand as a nation will have one thing on their minds..................as will most of the GB public.


But that's OK.......the crowds in Sydney and Brisbane will more than make up for it

I can not understand some people on this site, why moan at something we have needed for a long time, get real lets get it on last time I went to oz. it was ace to watch and the same when it was over hear even if we did get beat

Lets hope that our starting 13 aren't all playing their club rugby down under by 2015 though !!!!!

Start our season in September, end it in May, have GB tour down under in our summer and let the tourists come here October and November. Schedule 3 tests and let them play the top 8 SL clubs and a NL combination side as well.

Bulking up the World Cup is an awful reason to maintain a segmented and weakened national side. Why not bulk it up by making Australia play as NSW and Qld? It has as much validity.

No it doesn't. NSW and Qld were never independent nations and haven't been recognised as such by a major sporting body. England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland were and have been.
