Laurie is a second row or prop forward who turns 25 later this season, so Whilst he's a newcomer in some respects he's not really a prospect in the same way that Idris, Watkins and Williamson are.

They're nothing like eachother except perhaps in vague looks.

By the way, what exactly is Idris? To cut to the chase, is he eligible for NSW or QLD? I know Daine Laurie is a Blue. I remember in an interview with (I think) Matty Johns, he was asked who he'd represent in Origin. His reply was "New Souff, man".

1 is good, but i'd like both of them. They got Inglis from us, but Inglis is a QLDer at heart, going by what he's said, so that's fair enough from my perspective, wouldn't want him in such case.

laurie is a much better player than idris.

laurie is the same kind of impact players as idris expect hes been doing the business for a bit whilst idris didnt do much last year

if people are going to make a big deal about these types of players, id pick laurie as the better one

I think they've done just as well as eachother to be honest, and Laurie has only been playing NRL for like a month longer than Idris. But the main point is they're completely different players.

Taking age into account, you'd have to say Idris looks to have the brighter future.

Of course junior development plays a huge part but the building blocks are there right from day one. The fact that union can't develop it in the manner that league can doesn't detract from that fact.
