| Objective of SL - expand the game and improve the international spectacle
Results of SL - killing off founder clubs, filling teams with average imports/passport dodgies and killing the international game.
A bright future was available after the centenary world cup, we simply blew it.

| The super league seasons at the moment are a farce. I just can’t find myself jumping in joy watching my world class team put in a mediocre performances against mediocre teams nearly every week and still coming out on top.

| If we're talking about expanding the game then there are a few things that need to be done.
1) massive injections of cash at grassroots/school level to improve the quality and number of young players coming into the game as well as providing a strong "post-game" career path
2) A review and restructure of the salary cap so that it rewards clubs that nurture, produce and, above all, consistently play home grown talent.
3) A change to the overseas players rule in terms of INCREASING the number of overseas players allowed in the league. TBH, I know the rules are there to try and encourage teams to bring on more home grown players but really what it does is force clubs to go for less talented and less skilful players because they're unable to take a better overseas player, which dilutes and weakens the game and instead of meaning that the better home grown players such as Burgess and the like are playing in a weaker and less able league than they would have been a few years ago.

What we need is talent spotters who have no alliance to any club in super league. This way we can make sure that talent that hasn't been picked up by a super league club gets matured and will hopefully break into super league eventually.
Its not the money that's needed. Its the guidance

| we need clubs under SL to accept their place as feeder teams for the elite level of the game and form partnerships with SL clubs to develop jnr talent ready for the SL club like they do in the NSW cup and Q'land cup.

Super League
If (semi) automatic promotion and relegation would work between a professional and a semiprofessional league (which, imo, it doesn't) why not go the whole hog and introduce promotion and relegation between the semi-professional and amateur leagues - so that crap heartland semi-pro clubs who finish bottom of championship 1 can be consigned to the amateur game where they clearly belong and top amateur clubs can be promoted to the semi-pro ranks, whether they want to or not?

No we don't. This is not Australia.

| The only way to improve the game is BAN overseas players.

Are you joking?
The cap on SL games each player can compete seems to be the logical solution.
I'm also leaning towards the conference idea, if we have to keep the playoffs to reduce fixtures.
As for the feeder club proposal, they are moving closer and closer to this system, and I'm personally leaning for it at the moment.

| My idea would be....keep P&R as it is with the tri-yearly franchises. But you can only get relegated from SL if you have finished bottom of the league. As the original post said 3 divisions of 14. There should be just as strict criteria for promo to the Championship from Ch1 but do this yearly.
Bin Murrayfield magic for a big season opener-start with a bang.
Keep NRC at Blackpool-that works well.
End of season internationals to consolidate and progress, European Nations, Pacific Cup, other Nations playing tests (however minor they are)
Much stricter regulation on Nationalities of players. Choose a nation and stick to it. Once you have represented this nation, you wear that nations badge under your name on your club shirt.
