| GARETH Widdop requires a shoulder reconstruction but he’s putting it on hold so he can lead the Dragons’ finals charge. rlhttps://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/dragons/gareth-widdop-will-rush-back-after-a-shoulder-dislocation-to-lead-the-dragons-and-paul-vaughan-says-hes-ready-to-go/news-story/630f7051219dbb2161c7052118401362rl

| Even if he didn't put it on hold and went ahead now he would miss the series so i don't see any issue. Chance to see if someone else can step up and give us options in the halves we need.

| If Shaun Johnson, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Isaac Luke all play for New Zealand, and Gareth Widdop does not play for England, then New Zealand win the series easily, possibly 3-0.

| This is a major blow for England. Gareth Widdopp is arguably the best half back we’ve ever had.

| While they were all greats in their time, the standard of the professional game has advanced so far since they played, none of them would stand out in the NRL as Gareth Widdopp does.

That line is spun out all the time and its a load of guff, nobody knows what some of the players of yesteryear would be like in the modern era. You can only judge them by their playing record and Millwards record against the Aussies is far better than Widdops.

Is it? Gareth Widdop won the Dally M five-eighth of the year last season. I’d say that’s pretty successful against the Aussie’s.

How many tests and series against the Aussies has he won?
