Would insurance be expensive due to the nature of the sport?

Personally I think it should be mandated that players are provided with appropriate catastrophic injury insurance cover whilst playing.

Do Superleague clubs not have something like this?

Absolute speculation on my part but Mose had had previous spinal problems so may not have been able to get insured.
Terrible situation for what seem to be a lovely family.

Just been on commentary in oz game that 55000 dollars raised for mose so far this weekend good to see rugby communty over there rallying round too feel so sorry for the bloke i was at the friendly and the tackle was so inocuous but so life changing

Well all that is news to me so it's worth a story IMO.

Masoe's injury is quite a rare occurrence thankfully and I bet most players don't read thr fine print of their insurance agreements. I bet many may wrongky assume they're covered in such eventualities.
