Are Leigh REALLY gonna be expected to compete against 11 other clubs who get 80% more than them in TV Revinue, it's crazy and unfair. Those 11 clubs should be ASHAMED of themselves and the RFL, SLE and Sky TV should be utterly ASHAMED for allowing it. Staying up is hard enough as it is without having your hands tied behind your back from the out set...Bloody SCANDALOUS!!!!!!!!

The biggest problem is strengthening not finances. Little like being in the middle eights again. They made that impossible for Championship clubs but Leigh did it.

We know where you're coming from but all 6 clubs knew the rules and applied, so must have been happy.

Maybe its just a case of even if it is just one season in SL with the reduced package it's still overall so much better financially than one in the Championship?

If any good has come out of this exercise are the facts and plans stated in applications are continued. Hopefully that is the case.

Agree with the first part, but new players were brought in on new Contracts on Leigh's return to the Championship weren't they?? This was with a view to returning Leigh straight back to Superleague, That didn't happen and Mr. B was understandably upset as he'd spent so much and got relegated when he had not come bottom......

......then he spent heavily again only for Leigh to come sixth albeit only one point off joint second place. He was understandably very disappointed, criticised players and put the club up for sale which may have caused the contractual arguments we are discussing. Thankfully he stayed on and happily Superleague have had great sympathy with him and he's got the 12th. place.

I'll be rooting for him and Leigh to have a change of fortune 2020 and avoid the bottom spot then go from there. Leigh are a grand old club formed in 1878..........

But Degsy isn't complaining is he? He's beaming like a Chesire Cat. Looks like he's secured the deal he wants so he's happy and SL clubs are happy. His hands may in theory have been tied behind his back on the lower central funding, but he's unloosened the ropes and shook them off using his wallet.

Yes it's going to be another exciting season next year and hopefully close at the bottom too, I notice rollin thumper mentioned the sooner we get back to franchises the better having had a couple of crap seasons in the 8s I can see he's looking at the possibility of a straight relegation could scupper his club, goes to show anyone could be vulnerable

Many clubs were last in the queue for recruitment on promotion (when most deals had been done in August) but many still managed to stay up, on merit or on an existing SL club struggling on the field, which may well be likely next season. Some clubs are strapped for cash. Beaumont isn't.....

Take it this was after Mr Green banning him from Odsal. We have moved on and I personally have enjoyed all games against Bradford. Something I will miss.

Well you should have thought of that before you jumped into bed with the rfl and became their new favourites!



Only joking of course and I do wish Leigh the best of luck. Said it before but Leigh were the best choice for it and it could be a blessing in disguise for Bradford as we likely wouldn’t have come out of it well had we been chosen.

Still hopefully a good season in the championship (we are overdue one!) and there is always next year...
