Obviously there was a big difference in the performance of the opposition, and it wouldn't have been a 70 point winning margin, but if our players had turned up at Wembley like they did last night then we would absolutely have been parading the Challenge Cup around the pitch. Our owner Adam Pearson has just given an angry interview to the Hull Daily Mail, where he has backed Radford but criticised the players and has advised that 3/4 players will be moved on or in his words ‘sent to Doncaster’ with some new signings arriving for next year. A lot of teams have had bad injuries we beat Hull with 13 of our starting 17 missing a few weeks ago that defeat to Warrington had very little to do with injuries as they were the ones who’d played in a cup final 5 days earlier

No but their continued injuries lead to a slump which then ruled them out of contention for the prizes they were expecting to be challenging for and it’s obviously brought on a malaise at the club at the moment. HKR at the time we’re scrapping for league placings and 4 home games in the 8’s and were in a position they probably expected to be in around that time.
