| Quote JEAN CAPDOUZE="JEAN CAPDOUZE"I got Andrew Voss's call of the game.
Who was calling the game for the BBC?
Also did Ray Warren do the call in Australia on Channel 9?'"
We got Voss here in NZ and, yes, Ray Warren together with Andrew Johns and Wally Lewis did the Channel 9 commentary.

| Back on topic (to be candid, where guttersnipe lives should be of no interest to anyone other than detectives from the Wellington police):
Has anyone seen a better individual half back try than Shaun Johnson's yesterday? The Little Master beat Daly Cherry-Evans with a dummy and acceleration, and then beat one of the best players in the world, Gregory Inglis, with a side step and scorching speed.

Your ' Topic ' was attempting to give the cheating Aussies an excuse for losing
So why not start another pointless thread about Shaun Johnson skinning the has been Inglis?

| Lets give the positives a go EH? And stop all the moaning about items that are really irrelevant.
We have had the pleasure of witnessing one of the best sporting tournaments staged anywhere and, in any sport you care to mention, for years.
It is just a pity that so many will not have been as fortunate as we on here have been and either, out of choice or simply not being aware that this 4 Nations was being staged, did not join us and see it also.
And for that the press and media are totally to blame, for their concerted efforts to deny R/L any publicity, unless, that is, there is something that they perceive will detract the sport in any manner.
Should Football, RU, or any sport have had such an excitingly competitive tournament to watch those same papers would have been extolling it's virtues until Christmas and beyond.
R/L played to the standards we have seen over the last month is by far the best and most exciting team game on the planet and, rather than looking at, or for, any negatives, you all ought to be telling anyone and everyone just what a sporting treat they have just missed.
Yesterdays match was as good as it gets and anyone daft enough to deride that Australian side as third rate should be stoned. They withstood everything that an excellent NZ side threw at them and still at the death could have got the result.
Simply tremendous in it's every aspect, that game precisely displayed all that goes to make R/L, the best and most exhilarating team sport going.

| This was undoubtedly the best tournament ever in the history of either code of rugby. The combination of high skill levels, brilliant attacking team movements, and brilliant individual tries, all in the face of powerful defences, with mostly close scorelines that left the results in doubt until the very end of the games, was as much as any reasonable person could expect.

Of course it does and particularly so during the last two decades.

Completely disagree - in what way do think this happens and how would you change things?
There is either an international tournament or a test series every single year there is an Anzacs test every year and a world cup every 4/5 years.
You want a return to full tours - how will that be achieved? a return to winter rugby to the dross that claimed to be 'elite' rugby in the 70s and 80s? Perhaps a mid season break for three months so we can have a tour either here or down under?
The game has moved on and quite rightly is focussing on what has always been the strength of the game i.e. the club game.
