I would normally go when my team aren't in it (otherwise I would never get to go) and half support another team for 80mins. My problem is, other than Catalan (which would make an awful final) I can't bring myself to support the other teams.
I have 2 tickets for the Sir Alex Ferguson stand in block N1406. Pretty good seats, probably somewhere between the half way line and the 40.
Any offers?
P.S I should have known we wouldn't there... it is after all Warringtons year!! haha'"
I find it unbelievable that a Huddersfield supporter can buy tickets for a GF that they didn't have a hope of getting to, but can then make a joke about it being Warrington's year. Were you really so optimistic that you thought Hudds could make it? In any case, you don't have to support one of the other teams, just sit back and enjoy the game without the pressure of your own side being involved.'"
It wouldn't have exactly have been a shock if we had.. We finished 3rd and had two chances! Granted our playoff record is shocking and we messed it up but we were placed in fairly favourable position to do it I.e against teams who we have beaten this year. This post wasn't really about my optimistic mind.. However should try and meet Phil Clarke if you find my views unbelievable haha

Sent you a pm without reply, I might be interested if you still have them and don't want to go.

Increasingly we see fewer openly neutral fans and have this "hate" culture were we have to hate teams.
Sadly it's a fact through all of society perpetuated through social media.
I'd take the op up on his offer but I've already got tickets. There was absolutely no chance of my boys getting there and I've known that since 2007
Bit late to the thread but I have to disagree with this. RL finals are packed with neutrals and any "hate" that exists within the culture of the game very rarely goes beyond good natured passion. Last year I was sat in the Wire end, though there were various other fans dotted around too including other Wiganers, and the banter was great. You wouldn't get that in the other game.
Anyway as far as the OP goes, was it really such a bad prospect to watch either Catalans, Saints, Wire or us? My attendance at the GF was determined when all 14 teams were still in the mix and there's no way I wouldn't have gone. I'll admit that a week ago the prospect of a Saints v Warrington final had me worried but had that been the case there's no way I'd have sold my tickets. Surely the final we've got can't b that bad?!

I've regularly gone to the Cup Final, since it's return to Wembley, as a neutral and seen plenty of other neutrals there too. Also, at this years Cup Final, there appeared to be no hatred or animosity whatsoever. I don't think it's as bad as you portray, I just think there's been some highly noticeable cases at recent Grand Finals.
I've never been to a GF as a neutral but, in my defence, my team are usually there

| The only problems I've seen at Grand Finals were caused by one thing. Drink.

I'm sure that both of them would have got one.
