| I think there is a place for both England and GB. England for 4 Nations & World Cup, GB for Ashes & Kiwi tours.
I'd like to see something along the lines of:
Year 1 - 5 Nations down under (Eng, Aus, NZ, PNG & other Southern Hemisphere team)
Year 2 - Aus v GB tour here
Year 3 - 5 Nations here (Eng, Aus, NZ, Wales & France)
Year 4 - World Cup
Year 5 - 5 Nations down under
Year 6 - GB v Aus tour down under
Year 7 - 5 Nations here
Year 8 - World Cup
Plus an annual mid-season Home Nations comp of Eng, Fra, Wales, Scotland & Ireland here, and a mid-season Comp down under of Aus, NZ, PNG, Fiji.
I know the domestic season would be affected, but clubs will just have to survive without a few of their top players for a couple of games a season.

| Quote: TheElectricGlidingWarrior "That's exactly my line of thinking. Ideally you would have 4 of the best players in their respective positions playing for the home nations going head to head in a GB trial. In that sense it would be beneficial when players like Brough, or anyone else who thinks they aren't guaranteed an England spot, to opt for a home nation which they qualify for, because that will be their best chance to prove themselves and earn their GB cap.'"
Ive been banging on about this for a while. Atleast it would give more players a chance to represent at international level. The aussies aren't interested in growing the international game because all they are bothered about is SOO. England would be the strongest at first but I bet it would even out over a decade or so. Plant the seed and let it grow.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

| That will do for me.....used to go all the time when we played as GB In tests but lost intrest when switching to England....all we need now is a coach who knows what he is doing.

| Get the feeling that the GB tour announcement is after "the horse has bolted". Possibly by 2015 we could already have most of our international team over there.
1. Tomkins
2. Briscoe
3. Reed
4. Watkins
5. Hall
6. Widdop
7. Chase
8. Burgess
9. Roby
10. Graham
11. Hock
12. Mossop
13. Burgess
Hopefully it will benefit the fringe and younger players.
