Quote: deluded pom? "How many teams are in with a serious chance of winning the RUWC? A handful but no-one decries their version of the trophy because of it. If we put none international teams in a RLWC (as we did in 2000) then we deserve all the criticism that I can guarantee we'll get by the bucketload. A troll is someone who joins forums to try and stir trouble by continually posting "controversial" opinions.'"
The RL WC could not really sink lower in terms of public interest or attendances, pretty much only committed RL fans pay any attention.
But if you prefer call the new tournament by another name, not a WC.
Last RU WC Wales had a chance so make it 6 teams? Previously Ireland, and Argentina have a very decent team. So over past 20 years maybe 7 teams with a chance and 8, 9 10 'competitive' teams who could cause an upset. Compare to RL WC, can Fiji, PNG or Wales upset any of the big R even one-off?
By your standards, great pioneers of new thought such as Copernicus, Galileo or Prince Charles, would be considered trolls.
